Writing compelling copy has always been at the core of my entire career, whether it is for magazines, websites, social media, blogs, or videos. Take a look at a few examples below.
During my time in the marketing content department at Relay Payments, an Atlanta-based, venture-based fintech startup building a digital payment network for the freight and logistics industry, I created new copy for the relaunch of their website and managed the company's social media. I also developed video content, including a recruiting video for the People Ops department.
As Senior Copywriter for HauteHouse Brands - a hair care and hair tool company based in Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale - I was responsible for creating the copy for the re-branding of the entire hair care line. The task included writing all label texts and create new messaging to differentiate between product tiers. I also created copy for all social media channels and made guidelines for the social media team.
In the position of Marketing Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, I was responsible for the day-to-day marketing needs of the nonprofit organization, which included creating messaging for social media, updating marketing collateral, and streamlining the look and feel of the organization.
One of my biggest assignments was to refresh the website with a new layout and sitemap, which also included all-new texts for all pages. Although the site has since been updated, my groundwork is still there.
